Here on the west coast of the United States the weather is so much better than on the East Coast and much of this is due to the high humidity on the East Coast in the summertime. Many people on the east coast are quite arrogant about where they live and yet when they travel to the west coast for the first time they are quite humbled by the credibly great weather compared to where they live.

This causes many people to never want to go back to the east coast and continually drives up West Coast property values. For instance if you live on the West Coast your property values are generally twice as high for the same amount of property as if you live on the East Coast.

Humans much rather prefer less humidity and it is a lot more comfortable to live on the West Coast especially in Southern California where the weather is generally 70 degrees nearly all year long. Yes, there are spikes in either direction, but nothing like the East Coast. Generally those that live on the West Coast of the United States do not have to worry about hurricanes either.

There are lots of good reasons to live on the West Coast rather than the East Coast but the biggest reason would be the high humidity that the East Coasters have to deal with every year. If you live in the Midwest and you are considering living on either the East Coast or the West Coast you would be much wiser to live on the West Coast, as the weather is so much more enjoyable. Please consider this in 2006.
