Beginner Beading: Where Do You Start?

Author: Renee Flowers

Okay, you have decided that you want to do some beginner beading so that you can learn, practice, and grow in the craft until you can call yourself a real high-class jewelry designer! Although you have always liked beaded jewelry, youve never made any before, and you are wondering where to begin.

If you are really serious about this and your goal is to actually design your own jewelry and sell it or possibly make beaded jewelry gifts for family and loved ones, then you should probably consider taking a class. Some people who want to create their own designs when it comes to beaded jewelry are afraid that taking classes may squelch their creativity, but this is far from the truth. A beaded jewelry class will simply teach you the basics on beading. It will start with beginner beading and then show you more elaborate methods, as well as discuss with you the various types of materials that you can use. The goal of a beaded jewelry class is to get your creativity going in the right direction after that, the sky is the limit!

Youll find beginner beading fairly easy, and youll also probably find that transitioning into more elaborate beading is not as hard as you thought it would be. Soon youll be showing off your designs to friends and family, and possibly selling them for some good money!
